A great book for the journey of learning to play classical guitar

“I don’t expect to ever play to a large auditorium. I do enjoy the journey of continuing to learn and improve. I think this book is perfect for me.
Although there is lots of music available to practice out there, I was looking for a book that had some intent beyond just some songs to learn. That is, I wanted a bit of a map for my journey.
I’m pleased to see that this book is even more than I expected.
The descriptions provided for each piece give substantial advice on new items you will see and a recommended approach to playing the piece. Everything you need to get started with the song, including tab notation to get a quick feel for the piece.
The standard notation and descriptions then provide more detailed discussions and alternate approaches you can try after you get a basic feel for what you are playing.
Some of these discussions appear to be beyond what I’m ready for now so the bonus is that it looks like I will have an opportunity to revisit at least some after my skill set has expanded. In other words, not only does it provide a map for the first trip but additional points of interest to continue to grow through multiple trips down the path.
I’m excited to try it out and hope to update my review in a few months with the progress.
Oh yeah, there are quite a few other items included; background on composers, practice programs, basics on reading the standard and tab notation, audio and guitar pro files, etc.”
